Drilling will resume by April on the company's La Plata polymetallic
prospect in central Ecuador. The drilling program consists of a 50m grid
pattern and is designed to test the southern extensions of the western and
eastern flanks of the massive sulphide lenses.
Cambior Inc of Montreal, the operator, is also proposing a surface program
of geological mapping, hand trenching and sampling on the Campo Alegre
concession. Based on surface geology and outcropping this concession shows
potential for additional polymetallic discoveries as it has on its La
Florida concession. A massive sulphide float sample from Campo Alegre ran
15 g/t Au, as previously reported.
The company's summary to date of the massive sulphide lenses is as follows.
Hole 97-22 is being reported for the first time.
