Looking around the posts, I conclude that many investors here seem to have no investment strategy at all. I am wondering how investors, who admit, that they have almost no experience rush in to buy some shares in unknown small high tech companies, just because they have heard some flashy story... They buy on some so called fundamentals as for example an uncredingly low P/E ratio (in the case of MU) and tend to buy such an cyclical stock at its peak. Some investors think they lose the buying opportunity of the year when they miss out to buy a stock with a well established downwards trend with no bottom in sight. I am allways cautious when buying stocks. And I am extremely cautious about flashy stories, because they seem to happen when the stock is near its very peak. Its allways helpfull to have a look at the charts. When has a stock reached a bottom on further declines? I spend over half the time I dedicate to investment pondering about why not to buy the stocks a track at the moment...
I know that I miss out many opportunities because I am very cautious. But I know that I miss even more opportunities to lose money.I know that it sounds a bit cynical but it realy help to be cynical if you are an investor in the stock market. Stock picking is just picking some nuggets out of a large heap of trash.
