Henry, >> STAT3 protein and the minor complex appears to be a heterodimer of the STAT1 {previously p91, a component of DNA-binding complexes activated by interferons} and STAT3 proteins. << I was under the impression that rexinoids were liberally distributed throughout the body and were the OBLIGATE partner in heterodimers. Is this possibility that STATs can form heterodimers, without joining with a rexinoid ,a new insight that enlarges the amount of heterodimers that can be formed? Bernie
