I am usually against trying to short stocks, but while in graduate school AOL was on my classes hit list. In a financial statements class we tore apart the financials at AOL and saw all the dirty accounting tricks, which were still considered compliant with GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles). With the educated customers switching to ISP's (internet service providers) I think AOL will soon find it too expensive to acquire more new customers.

I quit my free trial offer at AOL months ago and they still call me! These guys fight hard to keep customers, but it will not last.
