Thanks, I heard about it. Another blue chip bites the dust!

I think one of the reasons that the market came back so strongly today was that smaller investors remember the pull-back late last year when the institutions dumped stocks and smart investors gobbled them up. That was a different situation. Now we have the effects of dis-inflation and the Asian flu taking fuller effect on the high-flying blue chips. Institutions and funds have been pouring 100s of $billions into the blue chips and darling stocks - the easy way to invest - follow the herd (moooo . . . moooo!). Now many of the blue chips are valued at unrealistic levels. these heavily exposed companies are being pinched by falling prices on one hand and failing Asian markets on the other. Although the overall economy remains very healthy, its time for a major rotation out of the blue chips.

If I had this crazy mess all figured out, I would have been short most stocks on Tuesday and long by Thursday afternoon. As it is, I feel comfortable being on the sidelines and picking up one or two nice situations.
