Well,the post sounds very statistically oriented, but in the short run I think the new Roth IRA thing is going to prop the market up until Tax day.. Not to mention, dividend reinvestment day (on or about 3/11/98). By the way, rational analysis of the stock market has not worked since 1986, when the computer evolved from an 8086 chip, tax laws discriminated against the real estate industry in favor of tax advantaged investing in the stock market, and Gorbachov waived the white flag, ushering in the new era in human international relationships. Now technical analysis of the market, that's another thing. Vitas
