Ah -- alas, a voice of reason. --increasing market penetration beyond 40% will take sub $1000 machines. The marginals will be squeezed. IS Managers -- yes, you can use 200+ machines esp. in education/govt settings. The employees can wait a nanosecond for their daily dose of Dilbert. John Q public will need to feel and try a machine before they buy. Go to the mall tomorrow and watch all the Dell machines rolling out of Best Buy - NOT. What about service ?-- isnt that what the DEC acquisition is all about? What a radical notion -- investing in talent. I'm in at 27, pissed about after hours BS and settling back for the next 6 months to see this turned around. --SC
