'... all major power utilities have been required to report the status & cost of their Y2K efforts in their quarterly 10-Q reports to the FCC'

I read recently that all major power utilities have been required to report the status & cost of their Y2K efforts in their quarterly 10-Q reports to the FCC. Some companies have relplied but most like the one here have not.
I have have seen the latest 10-Q & 10-K reports for the Southern Company, they have not reported anything yet. If you want to do something about Y2K for your community, go after the utility service in your area to get them compliant. Our worst fear is losing all power for a extended time period. You can look at their SEC filings by searching through the EDGAR database on the SEC website.
