Hi Colin,

I own a few shares of TNH a partnership fertilizer company. When I bought I really had no idea that the tax forms would get so complex or that I would lack understanding as mathematics was my minor in Grad school.

The company provided a graphic flow sheet which provides a data sheet and an analysis sheet and indicates that 7 tax forms should be filed.

My first question is can I just report the income as a dividend and neglect the rest as I presume they include tax writeoffs?

My second question is if I can just report the income as a dividend what kind of a percentage might I be losing because I didn't file all the forms?

Finally maybe I am way "off-base" and I need other guidance. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance. I've scratched a hole in my head clear to my brain on this one. Whew!

Terry
