I largely agree with you...it's better to have the news out in public rather than have people being uncertain. Yet one shouldn't get to caught up with all these analysts or mutual funds. What it now boils down to is how well Compaq can execute with this channel stuffing dilemma and DEC merger. If Compaq execs execute and achieve desired results this stock will easily make new highs by late summer. Good results will lead to a higher stock price. period.

Compaq execs in the past have proven to be more than capable of the job...it's easy to doubt now, but I still have faith. Hopefully, this will spur EP into action.
