Saw on the national news last night about the epidemic of a rare form of Strep A. One lady said her daughter became sick on a friday, and by the next wednesday she was dead. Seems like the conventional lab test for strep in this situation would be too little to late. Wouldn't it be a great civic service gesture for Quidel to offer free test to the community for strep screening, not to mention great public relations.
