Below is a link to a article which may help explain the significance of WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology. From earlier posts, you may remember that TBTI has product offerings in this area. This article is rather lengthy, but it's interesting. It essentially presents the author's views on the necessary future of the communications infrastructure. WDM is mentioned in the last section.
