Steve, I find it hard to believe that the Medical community still has not caught on to these rapid screening tests as it applies to pediatric patients. The normal procedure of taking a throat culture and the incubation time ( 48 hours ) or more is far too long in starting anti-biotic therapy. GAS , the causative agent which causes Rheumatic Heart Disease in children,( Scarlet Fever ) is an especially virulent deadly bacteria which attacks the valves of the Heart in young patients. Sad to see needless deaths of kiddies in this day and age. &&&&& Keiko
