The thing about refining oil is your have to cook the stuff, and we have not come up with many methods, after many decades of oil research, that do what gas to liquids does. Only one of these processes, after all these years, uses iron as a catalyst. Will we soon see a third catalyst work beside cobalt or iron? The past indicates we have two choices after 70 years. The next discovery may come in 17 or 35 years. Perhaps sooner. Rentech may be the one to bring it to market. The time is ripe for an advance in the technology of refining. There are more engines to feed. Good luck to all.
