JMD,

As most of us knew already. GSM is not going to go away any time soon. So is analog phones. But do not forget as GSM growing, so are CDMA. It does have enough market out there for both to grow. If GSM can reach the performance of CDMA. Do you think only GSM can improve? I think CDMA will improve also. Then GSM have to catch up again?

As to 3g system. Think about what is the market first? Then cost? Europe companies may have to go through another vote process. Does that need another year or so before they can make any decision. Time to market is the the way GSM claims victory previously. I am not sure how they can say this time. Late to market is going to provide a better technology?

As for global traveller, I think they want to use a Globalstar phone or Iridium phone instead of NOKA or ERICY's GSM phone. I felt strongly about it.
