Making progress--AOL up and running--breakthrough today on Lotus 123--now ready to start on Wordperfect programs--had some really lovely conversations with IBM about selling product without a manual--first they wanted to sell a service contract--then they would talk to me for $2.35/minute--finally one person showed me where I could find the manual -- hidden (of course) under programs--all 537 pages--copied the directory (not the book)--today all my lotus files are converted and up and running. Well--its getting easier--I came within minutes of boxing the entire shebang and getting my money back. I don't expect a free ride but I do expect a fair and honest presentation of the fact.

Back to SSAX--after four days of pure HELL--converting from Dos 3.1 to Win95 (could not afford to lose my 3.1 files at any cost)--I can begin to comprehend the problem of converting the large customer list based on minframe techology to the object oriented technology of BPCS 6.0. With Win95 we are talking about a relatively small program--the data mining industry of which SSAX is a component has a complexity increase of 100 fold or more. Since the company has survived the original technology introduction with over 160 live sites and some 1000 in the process (check my numbers please)--we really should be at the point of starting to get more favorable press which can be translated into positive earnings (my opinion but I do believe others share that view).

Now only recently have I had the time to check on the stock--Friday was a big surprise--volume practically disappeared and price held its own. Not a technical analysis type--but after reading the news I am assuming the performance indicates that the selling pressure is easing and that the big boys like those of us on the this board are waiting for Stuek to step up to the "plate for his turn at bat"--boy do I hope and pray for a home run. That won't happen but I don't expect a strike out either.

Maurice (feeling better--now ready to start converting Wordperfect files)
