I learned there are two older folks not far away from here (Pontiac Michigan) who make sleds for these racers, and the competition in the making is fierce. These sleds are wood, and weigh only 20 lb.! cost about $600.00 If only I had known before, It would have been so interesting to find out from the real source (your asking them) "how light and expensive their sleds were, and modifications", -so I could take the special information back to these folks!
