Hi Paul: What the convert player does is buy the convert
and short the stock. This way they get the yield and
hedge the stock part by shorting the stock. It limits the
upside and downside, but they are in it for yield not
growth. The bullish part is that a real buyer is taking
advantage of a chance to buy size in the common without
pushing up the stock. I view what is going on to be very
bullish. Someone is clearly buying a lot of stock.
