Dale J., We are both in agreement on the ineptness or unwillingness of the SEC to do anything about the gross injustice to individual investors, and infractions of its own laws and regulations by big money. Nothing is going to change there. There are numerous "Investors' Associations" out there, and I can't believe these organizations have not sent in complaints about the status quo...However, we can protect ourselves by filing a lawsuit. I WAS INCORRECT about a CLASS ACTION lawsuit, where the most of the money goes to the attorneys and investors get pennies. If we pay the attorneys we retain to file a regular lawsuit, with the individual investors that decide to participate named as plaintiffs in the action, we can recover our money from the time the big money begin to bring the stock price down, because the big money and their stooges had been informed by that time by company officials that the earnings picture was going to be negative. In the meantime "THE HERD", as they love to call us, was treated like the proverbial mushroom. We were told by the Compac CFO that he was "comfortable with the numbers". If that isn't actionable deception, I don't know what is! |
