Tony, I don't know of many high quality dept. stores that wouldn't have a UPS on their registers.

TO ALL: I think the under $1000 PC is going to hurt APC short term. People who spend under 1000 bucks aren't going to shell out another 150 to 200 bucks for UPS protection unless they have too. They should buy a surge protector but that is only 20 bucks.

With the prices of computers coming down month by month and by the end of the year when we will be able to get a new 200mhz model for under 800 bucks, the UPS will be the same price it is today. The delta between deflationary prices in computers and stable prices in UPS's are not a good mix at the current time. I hope this combination will allow me to pick up APCC for my target price under 15 bucks a share before the year is out.
