Hank, I believe we have an oil embargo in 1973-74 ??? people were talking about oil may go to 50/bbl ??? inflation was very high ??? at least this time the oil prices are depressingly low. I dont argue the market being overvalued, but the cause brought down market in 73-74 would not applied today. BTW, SPX earnings not grow at all since 06/97 and falls below 40 now per this week's Barron.
