That may be true. We just don't know if the correction will come in the form of a 2,000 point crash, a series of 500 point crashes, or a gradual downturn spread over several months.

Even if it's a gradual process, it's still going to be impossible to KNOW that it's underway. When we had a 500 point drop, was it the beginning? No; the market has soared back. The answer is the same for every other drop we've had since October.

Five weeks ago, someone could have looked at YHOO's pullback to 58 and shorted it, thinking he'd be in on the rest of the correction. But the stock's up 38 since then.
