CPQ is a good company but the days of huge earnings growth in PCs is gone forever. Just like the DRAM makers. Lots of business but no fat profits. Remember when it cost a hundred bucks for a 2MB Simm module? Now CompUSA is selling 16MB for $29.

CPQ will be selling millions of PCs at very low profit margins.

It kind of reminds me of the color TV manufacturers back in the early 70's......there were dozens of them .......now, only a handful.
