Rumor: COMS 2 Buy NN? It's always fun to read about takeover rumors...here's one, from the gossip columnist "Spencer F. Katt", at PCWeek: Katt confidants hoping to get a seat at 3Com's analysts briefing in Boston last week were none too pleased when invitations went out to only a select few pundits. The news must be bad, they shrugged. The chosen few who attended the event came away with a new acquisition rumor: 3Com is buying Newbridge Networks and its high-end access concentrator subsidiary, Advanced Communications.
