Peter, Congrats on opening this thread. I very much enjoy the discussions we have on the Asian thread but think it is appropriate to split off to a "purly" investment discussion thread. I am watching Sime Darby closely. IMO if they divest the bank and get back to the broad basics of running over 250 separate enterprises that include extractive industries, plantations, high technology, capital equipment, insurance, and real estate. In these fields they have excelled, and there is a slant to export in it all. Best, Stitch
