Michael, I am the one who started the discussion on the role of Christianity in the rise of Naziism, in response to an irresponsible 1/2 page editorial by Jeff Jacoby, that was seen nationally. In it he stated that Naziism arose because of the lack of belief in god.
In case you missed it, here is one statement by Robert Ross, a Protestant, and a leading Christian expert on the Holocaust. It is from the link that Christine thoughtfully provided, and which you probably ignored...
"Ninety-two to 95 percent [of those] who participated in [the Holocaust] were baptized as Christians. If the Jews are the victims, then Christians are the perpetrators," he said. "We must accept, as a Christian community, what happened to those victims."
