Dell first....Compaq last!
The question is who sold more boxes? COMPAQ! Number 1 in January, again. Problem: High inventories, shrinking margins. No problem, just blow the excess inventory out at bargain rates(which IMO will hurt other box makers I.E Dell). Take over DEC, start out fresh and dominate the industry!
As you said, your "brother-in-law wont let go of his Dell". And you wont let go of your Volvo. Well we are all creatures of HABIT. Just as your brother will buy another Dell, and you will buy another Volvo.
Guess what the MILLIONS of people that buy Compaq, will buy Compaq again. Now I ask you, who will win this WAR? Answer, who else COMPAQ!
