Quicken is really not involved at all in the back end. Basically when you make a payment (transmit), your making a transmission to Checkfree, telling them what payee and the amount. Checkfree will issue a check or e-payment, depending on if the payee is 'hooked' into checkfree. The money comes out of your checking by Checkfree, they make pre-authorized debits from your checking. The system is very reliable, after 5 years of use I have never had a problem.

Good Luck,

Benny
