Actually, in a strange twist of irony, you are quite correct that Australia
is now the 2nd ranked nation in terms of consumption per capita. We were
displaced from our throne a couple of years back by the Germans, darn it.
No prizes for guessing who also leads the world in cirrhosis, hepatitis
and liver cancer - you take the good with the bad I guess.
In all honesty, Leanne and I really liked the US, and are planning on
returning (don't tell PeterR1700). There's really good things about both
nations, and hopefully, some of you guys/gals can make the trek Down
Under one day. You would be made as welcome as we were in the US, and hopefully
take back as many good memories.
Doesn't mean we can't have a bit of light sparring in the meantime though...
All in good fun of course ! Now did I mention the US Open tennis or
the 4 x 100 medley relay at the world swimming championships yet ...
