Hi Chris. YOu should have seen the response I drew from the main INTC thread when I suggested that CPQ and INTC were both guilty of securities fraud. My main focus was on CPQ and its fudging its 4Q numbers to help with the DEC acquisition thus resulting in this inventory problem for both CPQ and INTC now. Some even called my mother names. Now I remember why I stayed off of that thread.

I sold 1/4 of my CPQ at 32 7/8. Never did I imagine that the stock would fall to the low 20s. I sold the 500 shares of GTW earlier also. I was just trying to raise soem cash as it appeared as if all the boxmakers except DELL had stalled. Call that lucky too.

Unfortunately, unlike others who always post that they made great trading decision (after the fact), I still have all of my INTC (just converted fmor INTCW one day before the 11 point decline), a ton of CPQ, a good hunk of DELL and CSCO.

I would buy MSFT tomorrow am but I am afraid that the last shoe to drop in this debacle will be our great government delaying the Windows 98. That would set the entire tech industry back years as corporations would hold off on new machine purchases. My hopes for this industry was that corporations were holdoing off on new machines until 1999-that way they get the year 2000 problem fixed, they get the new Windows, and they get the latest and greatest from INTC chips.

Now, I don't know if I can hang on that long. Nothing like squandering away 20 points in a stock. First, we get them in January and then we lose them in 2 weeks.
