Steve,

Noticed on your thread that you also felt that 29/30 (96-97%) fail in day trading. Is this based on any statistics or just gut feel? I sense the success rate is much higher for those who truly learn the market and develop discipline. I've seen people show up and not really know what they were doing and wash out after a few months. Also you seem convinced a major correction or bear market will wipe out many day trading firms. Certainly some will not survive. But surely you recognize that serious traders play the short side as well as the long side. Thus, a bear market can present as much opportunity as a bull market. All the day trader wants is the intra-day volatility. Money can be made in any market.
