Michael, I agree with you completely. Unlike Japan and Europe, most of our economical strength comes from companies founded in the last 30 40 years, and our strength in the next century will come from such new companies as well. However, forcing innovation and entrepeneurship to go through hoops and hell to get to market is a purgatory that actually strengthen these small upstarts. On the other hand, I would guess that many worthwhile ventures just cannot make it through these hoops. I know from personal experience that without deeper pockets bodies willing to take the risk and develop some of the technologies I am involved with, none would see the light of day. The downside of course, is that I am forced to give those "deep pockets" major chunks of the intellectual property created. C'est la vie. Zeev
