TAVA-relevant Excerpt from 3/9 Barron's... Jim McTeague interviewed Michael O'Higgins, CEO of ZMAX, for the "D.C. Current" column (page 52). Here is a key excerpt: O'Higgins states "...the deep-pocket financial industry is farthest out in front of the problem by a wide measure because it has been pushed by both its regulators and its trade associations. Then you have manufacturing doing pretty good, doing a lot of replacement instead of fixing, says Higgins, a West Point Grad who founded his company in 1996. He says utilities and state governments also are aggressively attacking the problem." COMMENT: Interesting. Higgins implication is that the biggest spending is going on in the areas that TAVA is involved in, manufacturing and utilities. There is also some negative implicaiton here, "replacement" rather than correction. But hell, TAVA makes bucks off that scheme as well. I am not sure how Higgins is in a position to know this, he is an IT-guy who specializes in y2k fixes for government agencies. ZMAX stock has gone nowhere, LOL, but that could be because the government is dragging its feet! Anyway, I am glad TAVA is more heavily involved with utilities rather than with the government....except they do have a contract with the US Mint <g>. DocStone
