Target stores are on the leading edge of space for these games. Toys R US is quite different in each store. KMART is a disaster of late.
The Big KMART here in Glendale has scaled back the handheld elec. section so much that it is almost gone. The amount of items from all the companies is about 1/3 what it was during the Christmas season.
Bass Fishing is about the only thing left, with a smattering of some of the Hasbro games, and some solitaire.
The huge TRUs in Glendale has LOTS of fishing games...this is good, and a couple night vision games. Some of the Habro games are stocked well, but overall no more end displays and Tiger has been scaled back too. This is in a store that is gigantic, and it seems that although this portion of the market is one of the very fastest growing, they are not increasing the space for it.
Target is definately increasing. Walmart is about the same.
But my question really comes down to...Where are they going to put all the new games that are coming out??? Kmart has no space and the shelves are in a constant disreputable MESS...The others have been paying attention to keeping stuff hung up and orderly, but it's tornadoville on the aisles of Kmart.
Just checking with Radica to see what they are viewing in regard to this shelfspace issue with all the new items coming on line in the next month or two.
