Hi Bob,

Thanks for welcoming me here . I have reading your last few posts this afternoon and really enjoy your word of wisdom. It looks as if you love to teach.

As you are teaching people here what they must do to inherit salvation, would I be out of line to ask you to tell people to take the big step and be baptized?

I know there are many of mans interpretations of what "literal"baptism is and disagreements have come up over the centuries. But to me there are two scriptures that stand out. One is Matt. 3:15, when Jesus replied to John about it said, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness" and then the sealer for me is when Philip was told by the Spirit to go to the eunuch and as Philip taught the GOOD NEWS to the eunuch , he asked to be baptized. Acts 8: 36-38. As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said;" Look, here is water, why shouldn't I be baptized?" And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Phillip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.

To me this is as much as a part of being "adopted" as sons as anything. I certainly do not take away from what you have spoken in your posts , and I hope to learn much more from you.

Thanks again for the welcome.
