Ernie,
I tend to agree with you about the web page and guestbook. A lot of potential investors have never even heard of SI, much less spent the hours wandering it around necessary to become proficient finding specific information of value to them. I think another problem with DCI's page is it's name: www.dcic.com not www.dctc.com or www.dcitel.com or ... (the latter two names I believe to be available). Unfortunately, "dcic" doesn't stand for anything that I'm aware of. Because of this, it's hard to find DCI's home page. If you search for "dci" or "dctc" at least in Yahoo, you get overwhelmed with stuff that isn't ours, e.g., "DCI Wireless" or the "Denver Community Theatre Company". If you specifically ask for "dci telecommunications", you get overwhelmed by messages on SI -- unless you specifically exclude SI references (i.e., have -SI: in the search parameters). I also felt it was unfortunate that when I did find "the right" DCI using some search pattern, I got pointed directly to the guestbook without going through the home page -- & people sure aren't gonna sign their names to things they know nothing about. I'm not sure how you control the latter in a search but I'm sure there must be ways, i.e., perhaps the only way to get there directly would be to specifically have "guestbook" in the search parameters (?).
I know all the DCI folks are really busy but creating a snappy web presence is something you can contract out, doesn't have to cost much, and shouldn't require very many DCI resources to provide the necessary consultation to the page builders. If we still have PLR on retainer (?), perhaps we could work through them to get someone to fix/finish the home page. I think it's important since web pages provide the initial exposure for lots of companies for *lots* of potential investors.
Just some ideas.
