Microsoft is going to announce their Java strategy including a new release of J++. That's going to generate FUD and that's not a good thing for anybody competing in the Java space. Microsoft is extremely anxious about the accelerated adoption of Java as more and better services, components and development tools are beginning to appear. That's only going to increase as longer term products start rolling out -- products which took a couple of years to put together. Remember, Java is still a juvenile and the complaints about performance are both relative and temporary issues. They are genuinely and rightfully scared of Java becoming an open standard since it's superior to Microsoft's attempt to bring Windows up to where UNIX was over 10 years ago.
