For there to be a sell-off, people must WANT to sell and they need to BUY something else. So the question of the day is (1) if pension plans are buying for future value, why would they sell, and (2) what will they buy instead? Bonds? BTW 6% for bonds with 0% inflation is a bargain compared with most stocks here. IF you believe the 0% inflation.
My house resale price is going up 5% a month, starbuck's has raised coffee prices twice since fall, utility rates went up, and the state of california is about to levy another gas tax hike upon us. (we're paying 1.45 for unleaded now.) Inflation? what inflation?
