"Monday may not be so bad" That is what I am thinking too. Plain and simple, this problem is Compaq's inventory problem, not an end user demand problem. They just used market demand as an excuse to cover their channel inventory mismanagement and in the process to bring down the whole sector. Both DELL and HWP just released their earnings and there is no problem with the end users demand. Frankly, I don't think Compaq has a chance going forward. ODM does not work. As long as you have an indirect channel, it gives management and sales person an incentive (commissions and bonus) to stuff it. Just like drug, you become addicted. DELL will takes over the world sooner or later. I will just keep buying on dip.
