I was very windy at Erie. It had been raining all morning and it stopped just before we started. However, there were still puddles on the artificial surface and the wind never quit, so the game was a bit difficult. However, the Blue Lightning scored twice in the first few minutes and then settled for a 2-0 win over the older (U-17) Erie Admirals. Earlier, Emily's Fox Chapel team won 7-3 over the Sewickley Splash (the Foxes only won 7-6 in their first encounter). Spencer's Fox Chapel team also won (6-3) over Hampton (didn't see the game, but Spencer scooped one shot out of the goal and had a "very nice" assist). Today was a clean sweep. I expect a similar result for LGND tomorrow.
