The effect on DELL will be minimal. There will be short selling and by the time all the knee-jerk selling is done the stock
will rebound. Anyone tried to short dell after INTC warning probably got burnt. CPQ news was coming out in bits all through the
week and did not have much effect on DELL. CPQ problems are not being able to sell sub-$1000 boxes and competing with its own
re-sellers all at the same time trying to digest multi-billion mergers of DEC and Tandem. In the Wall Street Interactive (3/6/98)
story, CPQ's CFO Mason admitted that their management is spread thin.

DELL company focus is clear and targeted to supplying high end systems to business & government. You can tell they care about their
share holders when they came out on 3/6/ after CPQ announcement and said their sales for the quarter are increasing sequentially,
meaning from last quarter which itself was a record.
