Jim, what blows me away every time about these guys is the certainty with which they declaim. We've agonized over numbers, and read Mason and Pfeiffer's tea leaves, and both Chuzzlewit (my cat) and I find that we are confused because we are faced with contradictions. In the military they call it the fog of battle. In August of this year we will all be geniuses in retrospect. So while you and I and every other sane investor grapple with through the murk of uncertainty trying to find a clear beacon of understanding, the bears scream with all the certainty their negative little tongues can muster, "Chicken Little was right, THE SKY IS FALLING!!!" We heard it last summer from Candlestick; We heard it last fall from Hank McNabb; We heard it last month from Najib; We are hearing it right now from the Irish Kings and the Joe Sabatinis; We will undoubtedly hear it again from the new minions of doom and gloom.
