Great News for Pure Energy & Arkenol:

Scientific American (March '98) has a Special Report with several articles ... Among them:

Preventing the Next Oil Crunch & The End of Cheap Oil ....

"Global production of oil from conventional sources is likely to peak and decline permanently during the next decade, according to the most thoughtful analysis. In these articles, industry experts explain why and describe technologies that could cushion against the shock of a new energy crisis."

"Forcasts about the abundance of oil are usually warped by inconsistent definitions of "reserves." In truth, every year for the past two decades the industry has pumped more oil than it has discovered, and production will soon be unable to keep up with rising demand."

The article states "Global production of conventional oil will begin to deline sooner than most people think, probably within 10 years."

The article suggests some alternatives ... but none of them appear to be as totally promising as what Pure Energy and Arkenol offer (in my opinion).

What the article does not talk about is the energy growth requirements of Asia as they are agressively trying to modernize. Read the book "Megatrends - Asia" by John Naisbitt for an insight to the major trends in Asia. The foundation being laid with Arkenol-Asia to produce ethanol there ... coupled with that technology being a key ingredient in the Pure Energy fuel ...
I would encourage you to obtain a copy of the magazine and also the book .. for a really good insight as to what's likely around the corner long term ... and a suggestion of the growth potential which Arkenol-Asia and Pure Energy have ... both of which KNIC has a substantial equity interest in.

Regards, Ben
