I think there something everyone is missing with
the current slow down: Digital
If Digital is going to have a terrible upcoming
quarter, which is being rumored, and Compaq
says business is slow. Doesn't it allow Compaq
to go into Digital and say sorry but you guys
are losing money, our business isn't doing to
well, were going to make some painful cuts
in regards to your company (i.e. layoffs,
lose departments). Maybe even more than what
they told DEC management. Once announcements
are made, new distribution model in place by 2nd
quarter, Compaq becomes king again. No one
will even remember March.
Anyway, that's how I see it unfolding, not
all this doom and gloom about Compaq going
bankrupt.
