nearly 50 years." I'm prepared to wager my firstborn that our
last great president was not Harry Truman(regretfully), as your
post implies, but the late great Teddy Roosevelt (served 1901-
1909). In any event, I am prepared to agree with you that the
last fifty years (with the probable exception of Ronald Reagan),
has dealt us a succession of second rate chief executives.
