I'm Gabor, the lead designer of Imperium Galactica and the MD of Digital Reality- makers of the game. We are based in Hungary, and I am writing to clear some issues regarding Imperium. I have seen some posts here, where you gave a WWW address regarding a gaming site that had reviews.
I have to say, that anyone can post there, and the 2 reviews I saw do not represent the opinion of the majority of the people who played IG.
The game was quite profitable for GT, and it has received several good reviews in print:
PC PLAYER (germany)- 4/5 (5 page article) - 7/97 issue
PC GAMER (US) - 87% - July 1997
PC GAMES (US) - B - July-August
PC JEUX (French) - 95% (I'm not sure of the name, I don't have a copy) - July (?)
GT has reprinted IG twice in the US, which means that they were careful managing their stock, although sales in Europe were much more than in the US.
I'm not asking anyone for any membership, since I cannot post any insider information (<<SCOTT make sure you make Quake II look like a "Piece of Cake" when Duke4ever comes out!>>), and probably there aren't many news I can contribute!
Keep up this area, it's fun to read!
