The following quotes are of Sprint Chairman and CEO William T. Esrey from Sprint's 3rd quarter results announcement of 10/15/96: "Sprint PCS, our wireless personal communications services partnership with TeleCommunications Inc., Comcast Corporation and Cox Communications Inc., expects to launch service in 15 to 20 markets in the coming weeks, enabling us to offer the nation's premier wireless service under the Sprint brand." "As we expand our local and wireless presence, we have sought out new distribution channels that are innovative, simple and convenient. Our recently announced alliance with RadioShack will allow consumers to purchase a full range of Sprint-branded services and products through approximately 6,800 RadioShack stores blanketing the United States. In essence, one-stop shopping for telecommunications products and services is returning to America."
