Joe, time will tell. In any event DLJ has got my attention now. I bought into CPQ on Thursday, believing that the stock is close to bottom. Buying low and selling high is what it's all about, and I find it refreshing that there are *some* analysts out there that might even get it right some times. I agree with you that there are sleazy analysts out there, and I think that ML is doing a disservice by downgrading the stock of a good company when it has been beaten down in price. I've noticed that buy recommendations usually come when the stock is near it's all time high, and the sell recos come when it's near it's low.
