We interrupt the discussion in this advocacy group for an important news bulletin: "Microsoft and Intel Corp. said that they have agreed to develop technical specifications for placing PC-to-PC voice calls and sending video images across the Internet, the global communications network of networks." You can read the entire article here: nytsyn.com What does this mean for CAML, Vocaltec, QDEK, Telescan????? Will MSFT do more than just setup standards. Will they be writing their own internet-phone software? In any case, CAML, Vocaltec et al will have to rewrite their software when the standards come out later this year. The race is going to be restarted.
