Excellent post! Hey everybody is anyone wondering what kind of new metals American BioMed is using for their stent designs?

The last few years the stent market has grown very rapidly but newer stent designs are taking a tremendous amount of the market from the old line of less flexible stainless steel designs.

Please refer to some of the tremendous research in this post by Sri:

American BioMed is developing a stent line using Nitinol a nickle titanium alloy. Nitinol possesses unique strength and flexibility characteristics that give it real advantages for use by physicians.

Patients as well will benefit from the use of ABMI's patented stent designs.

I hope to speak with Dr Samuel S Ahn soon about his work with American BioMed. Dr Ahn is on staff at UCLA and is widely recognized for his trail blazing work. He serves on the editorial board of The Journal of Vascular Surgery and has been published in numerous medical journals.

Enough for now.

Thanks again to Bill for his excellent post transferred to our thread.

Regards, Jeff
